Beau Klingensmith picked up his first NSIC Wrestler of the Week honor of the season and second of his career following a successful weekend at the Jack Hancock Duals hosted by Colorado Mines.
#8/12 Klingensmith opened the duals with a commanding 10-4 decision over #18 Elijah Boyd of Belmont Abbey. The momentum continued in a marquee matchup against #13 James Wright of #14 Central Missouri where Klingensmith recorded a 6-4 decision before capping off an undefeated weekend with a 3:33 pin over Eliot Kim of #16 Colorado Mines.Â
With two ranked wins this past weekend, Klingensmith moves to 8-1 on the season, including an impressive 5-0 dual mark.
(RV) Sioux Falls will head to (RV) Northern State on Friday, January 10 to take on the Wolves at 7pm inside Wachs Arena before heading south to compete in the Jet Duals on January 18. The Cougars will return to the Stewart Center on January 24th to host (RV) Minot State followed by #9/11 UMary on the 25th.
