Voboril, who began her duties on August 16, comes to USF with a track record of success after working for two seasons as an assistant coach at Iowa Western. Voboril will serve as the pitching coach for USF, along with assisting Pivovar with day-to-day operations of the softball program.
"I could not be more excited to have Aubrey join our USF softball family," said USF head softball coach
Shannon Pivovar. "She has a proven track record of developing pitchers into high level players on the softball field, while also dedicating time to developing them as students in the classroom. Aubrey has both a strong work ethic and passion for the game that align with what we are building on here at USF."
At Iowa Western, Voboril served as pitching coach and assisted head coach Ben Greer with day-to-day management of the team, equipment and facilities at the Reiver Sports Complex. She coached a pair of All-Americans in Bri Brock and Zoe Hicks.
Voboril, who has a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Peru State in 2017, finished her collegiate career at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa where she helped lead the Mustangs to the NAIA World Series. During her senior season (2016), Voboril posted an individual record of 21-3, threw a pair of perfect games, and recorded four saves in 172.1 innings. She was named honorable mention All-American and the Great Plains Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year as a senior.
Prior to joining Morningside, Voboril, a Wahoo, Neb., native, played two seasons with Iowa Western, finishing 33-10 with 266 strikeouts while leading the Reivers to a National Junior College Athletic Association World Series appearance. She earned both All-American and Academic All-American honors.
As a prep standout, Voboril led Wahoo High School to a pair of state titles while finishing in the top three in the state in all four years of high school.
