SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – USF Swimming competed in day two of the Coyote Extravaganza today, going up against the University of South Dakota, South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Augustana and St. Cloud State.

USF opened day two of the meet with a fifth place finish in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.11 with team members consisting of Domenica Solano Ocampo, Inn She Yap, Phini Schumacher, and Ursula Demarquet-Alban.

NSIC and USF Athlete of the Week, Alessia Moro finished first in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:55.49. Weronika Mrozek placed fourth with a time of  18:37.84. 

Valerie Childs finished third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.40. 

Ursula Demarquet-Alban finished fourth in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.87.

Childs finished first in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:10.39. Schumacher was right behind in second place, finishing with a time of 2:10.44.

Solano Ocampo finished second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:08.21. 

Sarah Knox finished first in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:18.42. Valentina Brunelli finished fifth with a time of 5:19.75. Emily Aten finished seventh with a time of 5:22.36.

Inte Pas finished fourth in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.68.

The Cougars placed sixth in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:35.47 with team members consisting of Schumacher, Demarquet-Alban, Solano Ocampo, and Childs. 

The Cougars will be back in action on November 15th for the LMC Time Trials at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls.
