Compliance at the University of Sioux Falls
Compliance with NCAA regulations at the University of Sioux Falls is broad, encompassing all functions of the athletic department. Keeping USF student-athletes, coaches and administrators aware of current NCAA and conference rules is the key to insuring proper rules compliance.
Each year, USF coaches must pass a recruiting exam on NCAA rules and be certified to recruit off-campus. All USF coaches and staff must also sign a Certification of Compliance each fall, indicating their compliance with all NCAA regulations throughout the past calendar year. Through our regular meetings with coaches and athletic staff, team meetings, and constant monitoring of all NCAA regulations, the University of Sioux Falls competes within the rules.
Maintaining institutional control of our athletics programs at the University of Sioux Falls is imperative to maintain integrity and a successful Cougar athletic program. Proper rules compliance is the concern of everyone associated with the University of Sioux Falls which includes alumni, boosters and fans.

All future USF Cougar student-athletes must register with the NCAAÂ Eligibility Center.Â
NCAA Eligibility Center
Student athletes who wish to play sports at Division I or Division II schools must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. The Eligibility Center checks eligibility and amateurism status for all Division I and II schools. Students are able to register with the Eligibility Center any time during their high school career. It is recommended that student-athletes register prior to the end of their junior year and update their record after each semester and again immediately following graduation.
For Eligibility Center information and registration materials students should visit with their high school guidance counselor.
