Biography
2012-13 (SOPHOMORE): Indoor- set a season best time of 18:00.79 in the 5000m Run at the NSIC Indoor Championships where she placed 8th overall…also was a member of the 6th place Distance Medley Relay at the NSIC Championships…set a season best time in the 3000m Run at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with her time of 10:43.87…holds the 2nd fastest time in USF history in the 5000m Run and the 5th fastest time in the 3000m Run…Outdoor-set school record in the 10,000m Run at the NSIC Outdoor Championships with her time of 38:33.16 which placed her 8th overall…also ran the 3rd fastest 5,000m Run in USF history with her time of 18:53.47 at the Kansas Relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Participated in Volleyball, Basketball, Cross Country, and Track...was named the Track MVP, Cross Country MVP, and named to the South Dakota State Elite Cross Country team...also participated in the school band, Student Council, and National Honor Society
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kathy & Kent Austin and Bob & Michelle Steadman...has three brothers and two sisters- Alec, Jack, Josh, Nicole, and Emily...Becca is a radiologic technology major and loves badminton and rollerblading.
