Wayne Earney

Wayne Earney

Prior to joining the USF staff, Earney spent nine years coaching high school track and field in Overland Park, Kan. during which he coached 24 state medalists and 6 state champions. He is a USFTCCCA certified jumps coach and also has received his USATF Level 1 certification.

In addition to his experience coaching the jumping events, Earney has a vast knowledge in strength and conditioning as he is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a certified performance enhancement specialist and corrective exercise specialist through NASM. He also holds a master’s degree in exercise science.

Earney received a degree in criminal justice from Mid America Nazarene University where he competed in the long and triple jump for the Pioneer track team. He was a two-time Heart of America Conference Championship All-Conference athlete and also qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the long jump.
