2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Indoor: Season best time in the 5000m run came at the NSIC Championships when he crossed the tape in a time of 15:36.38, finishing 15th overall…also competed in the Mile Run at the MSU Coaches Open where he finished with a time of 4:29.67…ran the 1600m leg on the Distance Medley Relay at the NSIC Championships, helping the relay finish 5th overall with a time of 10:33.05…Outdoor: Redshirted

2012-2013 (FRESHMAN): Indoor- broke the school record in the 5000m run at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with his time of 14:56.21…also competed in the 300m run where his time of 8:45.52 at the NSIC Indoor Championships placed him 8th overall…also competed in the 5000m run at the NSIC Championships where he finished 12th overall…4th fastest mile time in USF history, running a 4”24.09 at the USD Alumni Meet…Outdoor-ran the second fastest time in USF history in the 10,000m run at the Kansas Relays with his time of 31:18.76…competed in the 10,000m run at the NSIC Outdoor Championships where he finished 9th overall…also ran the 5th fastest 5000m time in USF history, running a 15:18.11 at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Roosevelt (S.D.)…four-year letterwinner in cross country and track…two-time cross country state champion…earned academic all-state honors and was named team most valuable runner…was co-captain of cross country for two seasons…also named most improved runner…competed in concert choir where he earned the Director’s Award…also a member of the executive chamber and NHS

PERSONAL: Son of Dale and Jamie Tabbert…born Mar 22, 1994…has three siblings, one brother and two sisters…major undeclared, but expected to chemistry based…has volunteered at the Sioux Falls Marathon, the Sunnycrest Retirement Village and the Lief Ericson Day Camp where he was a junior counselor…something unique about Ethan has only missed one day of school since the fourth grade
