Daniel Vander Woude is in his first year with the Sioux Falls athletic department as the Assistant AD for Development/Ticketing.
Vander Woude (VAN-der WOOD-ee) is responsible for the development of the Cougar Pride Club (USF’s athletics booster club and annual fund), as well as the sales of season and group tickets. He will also assist with the marketing and corporate development of the athletic department.
Prior to joining USF, Vander Woude served as communications and digital marketing coordinator for TNA Entertainment, LLC, in Nashville, Tenn., from October 2012 to 2015. While there, he constructed and executed targeted publicity and communications plans for nationally televised shows. In addition, he cultivated relationships with corporate sponsors, helped build customer loyalty programs, conducted in-depth market research on ticket sales strategies and more.
Vander Woude was also a member services associate with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee in Nashville, Tenn., from 2012-14 and worked as an operations and corporate communications associate at the national headquarters of D1 Sports Training in Franklin, Tenn., in 2012.
In 2011-12, Vander Woude served as a marketing and promotions coordinator for Vanderbilt University Athletics. Prior to that, he was also was event operations manager with the Sioux Falls Sports Authority in 2011.
Vander Woude, who attended Sioux Falls Lincoln High School, received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. At St. Olaf, he majored in exercise science and family studies while playing on the men’s basketball program. Later, he completed graduate work at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., earning a Master’s degree in sports administration.
