The University of Sioux Falls women's golf program will be teaming up with a number of the top golf instructors in the region to host a women's golf clinic on Friday, February 17, at the Avera Sports Institute.
Each session will give both beginner and experienced players a chance to work on all aspects of their golf game. Highlights of the clinic include:
- Opportunity to work with University of Sioux Falls golf coaches
- Instructors will cover chipping, pitching, putting and short game
- Golf fitness evaluation and exercises
- Full swing video analysis that participants get to take home
The clinic will include instruction led by PGA Teaching Professional Todd Kolb (Todd Kolb Golf Academy), PGA Professional Coralee Jorgensen (Head Professional at Westward Ho Country Club), Julie Jansa (Executive Director of the First Tee of South Dakota), Dick Bartling (TPI certified fitness instructor, Avera Sports Institute), Jenny Coluccio (USF head men's & women's golf coach), Brett Coluccio (USF assistant men's & women's golf coach) and Ryan Jansa (USF assistant golf coach).
"We are excited to host a golf clinic this spring for women and girls in the Sioux Falls area," Head USF golf coach Jenny Coluccio said. "We hope to bring more awareness to our women's golf program and to help develop an interest in the game for females at every age. Our coaches will be hands-on to help each participant improve their game in all areas."
The clinic will have two sessions; 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Cost is $75.00 per session.
