Quick Hits

The Series
This will be USF's first meeting with both Dominican University and Notre Dame de Namur.

Non-Conference Success
Not only is USF 39-11 in non-conference play under coach Traphagen, but the Cougars are also 10-2 in their last12 non-conference away contests and 17-5 all-time in non-conference road meetings with Traphagen at the helm.

Cracking the Top 10
Senior Forward Jamey Hofer, who averages 9.8 points per game this season, continues to add to her legacy at USF. She enters the weekend's games with 1146 career points, which is just 52 points shy of cracking USF's top 10 career scoring list.

Johnson & Johnson
Senior guard Vanessa Johnson (13.8 PPG) and sophomore forward Laura Johnson (10.5) sit 1-2 on the team in scoring and rank first or second in nearly every major statistical category. Laura Johnson (6.3 RPG) leads the team in rebounds, while Vanessa Johnson (27) is first in assists. Johnson & Johnson play a large role in USF's success and remain undefeated when both are at the top of their game. The Cougars are 4-0 when V. Johnson leads the team in scoring and 4-0 when L. Johnson is the team's rebound leader.

Crashing the Boards
In their last five games, the Cougars have outrebounded their opponents by 45 boards and hold a rebounding margin of +6.6 rebounds per game on the year. USF looks to extend their five game win streak this weekend.

Winning Lineup
Holli Aggen, Vanessa Johnson, Alyssa Rushton, Laura Johnson and Jamey Hofer have proved to be a winning starting lineup for the Cougars. This was especially apparent last game, when all five posted double-digit scoring performances. USF is 7-1 with those five in the starting lineup this season.

Team Effort
USF is 6-0 this season when two or more players score in double-digits. Two or more Cougars have scored in double-digits six times this season, with three players scoring double-digits in four of those games.

Road Warriors
The Cougars, who have played in just one contest at home this season, boast an impressive 4-1 record in away games this season and are 17-4 on the road dating back to last season.

Up Next
USF will take some time off for the holiday season and prepare for the first of their five game home stand which starts Jan. 7, when they host Valley City State University at 2p.m.

Double-Double
Through the first eight games of the 2011-12 season USF has yet to record a double-double.

Ready or Not
Some may have questioned if the Cougars were ready for DII and the NSIC. They answered those questions, going 3-1 in their four games scheduled against future NSIC competition this season, while posting a 5-1 record against DII competition thus far.
