THIS WEEK IN COUGAR GOLF
The University of Sioux Falls men's golf team will face several conference opponents this weekend, as they head to Wayne, Neb. for the Wayne State Invitational March 29-30. It marks their first competition in nearly three weeks, as last weekend's Spring Invitational was cancelled due to course conditions.

THE COURSE
The Wayne Invite will take place on the Wildcats' home course, the Wayne Country Club (WCC). An interesting fact about the 6,384 yards par 72 course, is it claims one of the toughest holes in all of Nebraska. No. 11, a narrow 381 yard par 4, was selected by the Nebraska Golf Association as one of the 18 most difficult holes in the state.   

LAST TIME OUT
Sioux Falls' seniors Levi Smith and Jordan Mueller led the Cougars to a fourth place finish at the Drury Invitational, held March 11-12. Combined, USF carded a two-day score of 654 (335-319) as all five scorers finished in the top-30.

Both finishing in the top-10, Smith fired rounds of 80-77 to tie for sixth, while Mueller shaved 11 strokes off his first round score to record a 159 and tie for ninth overall.

Josh Atkins finished 19th (85-83=167), while Andrew Nelson (87-86=173) and Jon Van't Hul (85-88=173) were involved in a four-way tie for 23rd overall.

NSIC AWARDS
Senior Jordan Mueller earned NSIC Golfer of the Week following his two-round performance at the fall portion of the NSIC Championships. Mueller fired 71-82 in the opening 36 holes to maintain a two-shot lead over Tyler Koivisto of St. Cloud State and Kowan O'Keefe of Minot State heading into the spring session, which will take place April 13-14 at the Jewel Golf Club in Lake City, Minn.
