The USF women's golf team made the trip to Omaha, Neb. this past Sunday and Monday to take part in the Tiburon Invitational held at the Tiburon Golf Club. The Cougar women ended the day in fifth place with their team score of 710 (+134).
Tavia Rutherford led the way for the USF women with her two round score of 167 (+23) which placed her 7th overall. Rutherford followed up her day one score of 85 with a round of 82 on the second day of competition.
Next in for the Cougars was Mikaela Theobald who shot a 91 on day two after shooting an impressive 86 in the first round of the Invite. Theobald finished the invite with a combined score of 177 (+33) which placed her in a tie for 20th overall.
Rounding out the Cougar athletes competing was Natalie Turner (184/+40), Kelsey Leif (186/+42) and Audrey Kieliszewski (213/+69) who finished in 30th, 34th and 51st place respectively.
The Cougars will return to action on Monday, April 7 when they travel to Mountain Home, Ark. To take part in the First Federal Bank Invitational held at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.
