OWASSO, OKLA. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf Team, led by three players in the top-20, including a second place individual finish from
Lexi Hanson, is third in the team standings after one round of the Hillcat Classic, hosted by Rogers State, at the Bailey Ranch Golf Club.
The final round of the competition on the par 72, 5,890 course, will be held on Tuesday. Live scoring is available by

After day one, USF is third with a team score of 44-over par 332. The Cougars, ranked 11
th in the Central Region by Golf Stat, sit just two shots from second as Southern Nazarene finished at 42-over par 330. Rogers State, led by individual leader Jessica Green at one over par 73, had a 35-over par 323, for a seven-shot lead.
Hanson, the reigning NSIC Golfer of the Week, opened the two-round classic by carding a 77 (39-38), which is five-over par. She had a birdie on the 490-yard, par 5, hole one and then used 11 pars to turn in the second-place finish. Sophomore
Maggie Veenendall is tied for eighth after shooting a 10-over par 82 (38-44). She had eight pars to go with a birdie on the par 5, 460-yard hole 11.
Junior
Marisa Weeks finished tied for 18th after carding a 13-over par 85 (41-44). In her 18-hole round, she had five pars and a birdie on hole 13, which is a par three, 148-yard hole.
Two USF golfers - senior
Kyleigh Moran and sophomore
Maddi Hanson - are tied for 25
th after day one. Moran and Hanson finished at 16-over par 88. In her 88 (42-46), Moran had a birdie on hole 12, a 362-yard, par 4 hole. She also had four pars. As for Hanson, her 88 (43-45), included six pars and a birdie on the 454-yard par 5 14
th hole.
Senior
Lexi Jonas, who finished at 19-over par 91 (42-49), is tied for 34th after one round. Jonas had a team-high two birdies, including the 325-yard par 4 15
th hole and on hole one, a 490-yard par five.
