Marisa Weeks in the top eight, the University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf Team is second in the team standings after one round at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Women's Golf Championships at Dacotah Ridge. For results,

USF opened the tournament by carding a team round of 310 for 22 over par. USF trails Augustana, which opened at 296 and eight-over par. Minnesota State is third at 35-over par, 323. The second 18-holes of the NSIC Championship will begin on Saturday morning with tee-time starts at 10 a.m. The third and final round will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday. The top five golfers will be named NSIC All-Tournament, while the team champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Regional.
After day one, USF has three golfers in the top eight and all five in the top-25 individually.
Reigning NSIC Golfer of the Week
Lexi Hanson, who leads the league in scoring average, opened at three-over par 75 (39-36) and ranks fourth among individuals. Hanson, a two-time All-Region and All-NSIC performer, has eight pars and birdies on holes three, four, eight and 14.
Senior
Kyleigh Moran carded her best round of her career with a four-over par 76 (38-38), which placed her in a tie for fifth overall. In her round which was balanced throughout the day, she had 11 pars and secured birdies on holes 11 and 15.
Junior
Marisa Weeks was tied for eighth after day one with a six –over par total of 78 (36-42). In her round, she had nine pars and birdies on holes 14 and 17.
Sophomore
Maggie Veenendall, who earlier this spring was an NSIC Golfer of the Week, finished at 81 and nine over par, which placed her in a tie for 18
th overall. She had 12 pars in her round today.
Senior
Sydney Hubbard is tied for 25th after day one with an 11-over par total of 83 (42-41). In her round, Hubbard carded eight pars.
