Women’s Golf sets off for spring tourney #2: The Jimmie Spring Swing

Sioux Falls, SD – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf team will play in the Jimmie Spring Swing Tournament on Monday March 28th. The event will be their second of the spring.

The Cougars will head to Ames, Iowa for the Jimmie Spring Swing Tournament which is hosted by Jamestown University. The 6,675 yard par-71 course at the Ames Country Club will be the site of the event that will feature an 18-hole round on each day, the 28th and the 29th.

USF last teed off at the Augustana Spring Fling in Palm Desert, CA where they placed 7th. The finish was a step back from the 2nd and 3rd place finishes the team put together before the break. The rust showed in the first round with the team posting a 361 but they were able to shake it off and improve their score by 24 to close the event. With the great strides the team made during the fall they'll look to make their last tournament an anomaly as they continue their season.

After their trip to Iowa the Coo will return to South Dakota for the Hardrocker Invitational on April 4th. Find live stats at Golfstats.com or check the Women's Golf schedule on USFCougars.com for a direct link.
