Ames, IA - The University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf team claimed their first title of the year at the Jimmie Spring Swing. The Cougars also claimed two of the top three individual spots.
Paige Hillman claimed the first individual title of her career today after being the only golfer at the event to shoot under 80 with her 75 on the first day. In total she carded a 17-over 159 to continue her strong freshman campaign. Annie Balduzzi also achieved a first in her career as she placed 3rd overall. Her first round 81 tied her for the 2nd best round at the tournament. In total she carded a 24-over 166 (81-85). DMACC's Ashley Michel took second after tying with Balduzzi and receiving the tiebreaker.
The Cougars jumped out to a massive 23 stroke lead after the first day and never looked back. On the second day their 356 was only bested by two strokes from the University of Jamestown. Their final score of 124-over 692 (336-356) easily granted them their first team title of the year.
