SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – USF Swimming hosted Augustana, MSU Moorhead and Northern State in a quad dual today coming away with a 2-1 record. The Cougars defeated Northern State 151.00-50.00 and MSU Moorhead 147.00-71.00 and fell to Augustana 120.00-101.00.
Domenica Solano Ocampo, Inte Pas, Phini Schumacher and Valerie Childs got the day started with a 300 yard medley relay victory with a time of 2:45.17. Hannah Warmbrand, Abby Ford, Inn She Yap and Valentina Brunelli followed up in fourth place with a time of 2:52.73.
USF won the 600 yard snarf relay with a time of 6:43.05 finishing 12-seconds faster than the next closest team.
Phini Schumacher continues to make a name for herself after finishing the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.10 and a first place finish. Brunelli followed up in fourth with a time of 2:01.13.
Ursula Demarquet-Alban picked up a second place finish in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.61 with Childs coming in fifth with a time of 24.82.
Emily Groom clocked in at 1:00.86 in the 100 yard free for the Cougars.
Phini Schumacher finished with a time of 57.29 in the 100 butterfly securing a first place finish. Yap followed in third with a time of 58.83.
Childs picked up another first place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.51. Demarquet-Alban followed closely in third with a time of 53.89.
Solano Ocampo finished with a time of 58.29 and second place finish in the 100 yard backstroke.
USF held all three top finishes in the 500 yard freestyle with Alessia Moro clocking in with a personal best of 5:11.07 followed by Weronika Mrozek at 5:16.44 and Brunelli at 5:20.55.
Pas finished the 100 yard breaststroke in second place with a time of 1:05.48 followed by Yap in fourth with a time of 1:08.17.
