SIOUX FALLS, SD - No. 22 USF Swimming defeated Concordia-St. Paul 161-119 today claiming the top spot in 8-of-14 swim events.

Phoebe Mosley, InnShe Yap, Phini Schumacher and Ursula Demarquet-Alban started the day off winning the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:51.95. Hannah Warmbrand, Abby Ford, Emily Groom and Ashtyn Molesworth followed suit at 1:55.28.

Alessia Moro, Sarah Knox and Weronika Mrozek took the top-3 spots in the 1000 freestyle. Moro was first at 10:43.70 followed by Knox at 11:03.18 and Mrozek at 11:16.87.

In the 200 freestyle, Valentina Brunelli finished runner-up at 2:01.72 followed by Natalia Escalante at 2:07.64 and Olivia Delarosa at 2:12.01.

Warmbrand led the Coo in the 50 backstroke with a second place finish at 29.40 with Mosley finishing at 30.41 and Sydnee Whetten at 30.63.

Yap was edged out of the top spot in the 50 breaststroke by .15 seconds finishing second at 32.59 along with Abby Ford at 32.78.

Valerie Childs tore up the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.65 followed by Groom at 59.75 and Emily Aten at 1:00.18.

Yap and Childs finished 3rd and 4th, respectively, in the 50 freestyle with Yap clocking in at 25.10 and Childs at 25.77.

Demarquet-Alban took the top spot in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.74. Brunelli finished third at 56.84.

In the 100 backstroke, Warmbrand, Mosley and Whetten finished in the middle of the pack with Warmbrand in 3rd at 1:03.77, Mosley in 4th at 1:05.60 and Whetten 5th at 1:06.74. Escalante tied for 6th at 1:07.82.

Yap finished the 100 breaststroke at 1:09.25 claiming 1st followed by Ford at 1:10.78 in 2nd.

Moro finished runner-up in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:17.51 along with Knox in 3rd at 5:22.67 and Aten in 4th at 5:23.60.

Schumacher and Childs took the top two spots in the 50 butterfly with Schumacher clocking in at 25.83 and Childs at 26.07.

In the 100 IM, Groom and Demarquet-Alban battled for the top spot with Groom pulling away at 1:02.14 and Demarquet-Alban at 1:02.40.

The Cougars 'A' relay team closed out the day winning the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:37.75. Team members included: Demarquet-Alban, Brunelli, Schumacher and Childs.

USF moves to 8-2 on the year in dual settings, sitting second in the NSIC Swimcloud rankings.
