ORLANDO – The University of Sioux Falls tennis team headed south for spring break to take on their first of five opponents of the week, Concordia College.
DOUBLES RESULTS
Talia Janos returned paired with Emily Thinnsen to pick up a 6-4 victory over Raquel Egge and Mary Skorich as the Cougars No. 1 doubles team tonight.
Danielle Thorfinnson and Katelyn Nesheim battled once again to pick up a 6-4 victory over Anna Hacker and Lizzie Allan to secure the doubles win for the Cougars.
Alissa Thorfinnson and Jaelyn Haler fell short to Julia Wolf and Erin Borchard in a close, 6-4, matchup.
SINGLES RESULTS
D. Thorfinnson opened the singles for USF with a victory over Concordia's Egge.
Osburn swept her opponent 6-3 and 6-0 to pick up USFs second singles win.
Hancock also swept her opponent with scores of 6-3 and 6-0.
Thinnsen took on Emily Savagean in a two set victory with scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
Nesheim went up against Allan and came away with a 6-1 and 7-5 victory.
Emma Rangel rounded out the Cougars lineup but fell just short to Borchard in three sets.
UP NEXT
The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow as they take on Seton Hill University.
