SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls dropped a tough match to Augustana today with the final score being 4-0. The Cougars finish their historic season 13-6 and fourth in the NSIC.
DOUBLES
Talia Janos and Danielle Thorfinnson fell to Flore Hadjigeorgiou and Aleksandr Kistanova, 6-0, in the No. 1 doubles match.
Sydney Osburn and Ella Hancock (UF) against Laura Arce Vieyra and Gabriella Jancikova.
Katelyn Nesheim and Emma Rangle fell 7-0 against Senem Ocal and Emily Granson as the No. 3 doubles team.
SINGLES
Janos fell to Hadigeorgiou 7-5, 6-1 as the No. 1 singles match.
In the No. 2 match, D. Thorfinnson fell 6-0, 6-0 to Ocal.
Sydney Osburns match was unfinished against Kistanova in the No. 3 slot.
Emily Thinnsen fell 6-0, 6-0 against Margarita Chouliara as the No. 5 singles.
Hancock and Nesheim finished with no results as the No. 4 and 6 single pairings.
RECAP
The Cougars finish one of the best seasons the program has had in the Division II era. Head Coach Kevin Grebin described this year's team having "fantastic heart and energy," throughout the entirety of their season.
