NEWTON, KS – The USF Women's Golf team finished the Newman Invitational tied for 6^th place with Maggie Veenendall tying for 4^th.
 
The Cougars rose one spot with their performance on day 2 despite struggles across all teams on the day. Maggie Veenendall fought off the difficulties of day 2 and posted the second best score of the round as she rose to a three way tie in 4^th place. As a team the Cougars finished at +76 with a score of 652 (315-337). USF ended round 2 just two strokes ahead of Rockhurst University, placing the teams in a tie for 6^th as the tournament ended. The Cougars will stay in Sioux Falls next week for the Augustana Spring Invite on Monday and Tuesday.
