SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Women's Wrestling picked up their third win of the season to advance to 3-0. The Cougars defeated the Jimmies 46-3 at home to kick off the 2025 portion of their schedule.
The Jimmies were open in the first four weight classes with
Ava McNeal (103),
Paw Hobza (110),
Rei Ogden (117) and
Teila Peters (124) all picking up forfeit victories.
Diann Smith (138) and
Ciana Grate (145) also picked up forfeit wins for The Coo.
At 131-pounds,
Mackenzie Armagost started the night with a 1:47 pin over Abby Ewing. After a back-and-forth battle, Armagost landed a 2-point takedown to land Ewing on her back to advance to 8-7 on the season and 2-0 in duals.
At 160-pounds,
Kylie Hulse fell short to #9 Allyssa Johnson in an 8-3 decision. After a hard-fought match, Hulse moves to 9-3 on the year and 2-1 in duals.
Maizy Mathis picked up a quick 1:07 pin over Celia Jaeger at 180-pounds. Following a 4-point throw to land Jaeger on her back, Mathis advances to 5-5 on the season and 2-1 in dual matchups after falling to Riley Rangel in an extra match at 160-pounds.
Zoe Adam closed out the night with a 2:03 pin over Grace Todhunter at 207-pounds. The two battled before Adam recorded the final 4-point toss of the dual to move to 6-5 on the season and 2-0 in duals.
Addaly Pals-Miller and Mathis each wrestled extra matches following today's dual each falling via pin.

The Cougars hit the road to take on Minot State on Wednesday, January 8th before taking on Augsburg and Chadron State. USF will return home on January 29th to take on Fort Hays State in the final dual of the season. Fans are encouraged to skip the line a buy their tickets online at
