SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Softball program announced the signing of 13 student-athletes to its 2025–26 recruiting class. The newest group of Cougars represents 11 different states and brings a strong mix of speed, power, and versatility to the diamond as the program continues to build toward future success.
Addison Braun | Brownsville, Wis. | Waupun Senior HS | P/OF/2B | Undecided
A right-handed pitcher and versatile utility player from Brownsville, Wisconsin, Braun comes to USF as a three-time All-Conference, two-time All-District, and two-time All-State selection. She is a two-time American Legion All-Tournament Team member as well as a two-time American Legion MVP award winner. Braun helped lead her team to two WI DI American Legion Championships and one WI DII Championship while setting a single game RBI record (5) in 2024 and holding the Waupun HS record for career strikeouts. Braun has also earned honor roll recognition since 2022 and competes for Wisconsin Premier.
Coach Downs on Braun: "We're very excited to have Addison Braun joining our program. Addie has all the tools to dominate in the circle and compete for one of our top pitching spots. She brings a strong presence and the ability to control any game she's in."
Faith Cain | Milton, Fla. | Milton HS | OF | Sports Management
Cain brings elite speed and left-handed versatility from Florida's Gulf Coast. A letterwinner since her freshman year, she's developed as a slapper and outfielder for the Firecrackers 2026 squad (Timmothy Williams) and plans to study Sports Management.
Coach Downs on Cain: "We're thrilled to add Faith Cain to our program. Faith's lightning speed and high softball IQ make her a constant threat. She's relentless on the bases and in the outfield, and she's the kind of player who can change the game in an instant."
Lauren Curiel | Glendora, Calif. | Glendora HS | 1B | Criminal Justice
Curiel joins USF from California powerhouse Glendora High School, where she earned All-League honors. A member of the Firecrackers Brasher/Hicks Gold club program, she intends to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice.
Coach Downs on Curiel: "We're thrilled to welcome Lauren Curiel to our Coo family. Her game presence, grit, and aggressiveness make her exciting to watch. This California native can absolutely swing it, and we can't wait to see her make an impact."
Addison Dale-Geiger | Hazen, N.D. | Beulah HS | P/Utility | Pre-Med/Exercise Science
A multi-sport standout, Dale-Geiger has been a key contributor in softball, basketball, volleyball, and track. She's a five-time All-Region and All-State selection, including All-Sub Region honors her sixth grade year and is a National Honor Society member, competing with Wyoming Havoc.
Coach Downs on Dale-Gieger: "We're excited to have Wyoming native Addison Dale-Geiger join our program. She's a true plug-and-play player who can excel almost anywhere on the field and even switch hit. Her speed and versatility are sure to keep opponents on their toes."
Mikayla McCoy | Phoenix, Ariz. | Boulder Creek HS | MIF | Business Administration
McCoy, a middle infielder from Phoenix, Arizona, has been a standout at Boulder Creek High School, excelling at both shortstop and second base as she has earned All-Region honors along with being named a two-time honorable mention selection. A Business Administration major, she competes with the Arizona Storm Downes program.
Coach Downs on McCoy: "We're excited to welcome Arizona native Mikayla McCoy to our program. She's a smooth and steady force in the infield, with quick reactions and great instincts that will make it tough for opponents to get anything past her."
Kadence Meyers | Shawano, Wis. | Shawano Community HS | P/1B | Undecided
Meyers is a pitcher and first baseman from Shawano, Wisconsin, where she earned Second Team All-Conference honors as both a sophomore and junior at Shawano Community High School while also earning team MVP recognition in the same seasons. A consistent High Honor Roll student, she competes with Impact Sports Academy.
Coach Downs on Meyers: "We're excited to welcome Kadence Meyers to our program. She's not just a pitcher, she's a power hitter and a true game-changer in the circle. Her killer instinct and competitive fire will take her far, and we can't wait to see it in action."
Hayley Noble | Sparks, Nev. | Edward C Reed HS | P/3B | Criminal Justice
Noble, a right-handed pitcher and corner infielder from Sparks, Nevada, is known for her work in the box and inside the circle. Throughout her high school career thus far, Noble has maintained a .358 career batting average while tallying 119 hits, 95 RBI and 17 HR while averaging a 4.13 ERA in 257 innings pitched and 141 strikeouts. An honor roll student, she's recognized for her competitiveness and leadership, balancing athletics with academic excellence while also competing for Firecrackers Battle Born Gooch.
Coach Downs on Noble: "We're excited to have Hayley Noble join our program. She's a true utility player who can impact the game anywhere on the field. Her bat will definitely keep her in the lineup and she's always hunting to hit something out. Having her join her twin sister here makes it even more special."
Harly Pence | Cumby, Texas | Campbell HS | 3B/OF | Exercise Science
Pence is a decorated third baseman and outfielder from Cumby, Texas, where she has earned multiple accolades for Campbell High School. A two-time Academic All-District honoree, she was named 2023 Freshman of the Year and earned Honorable Mention All-District recognition in 2024. Pence also represented her school and club on several elite stages, including the TSWA Team, NFA All-Star Team, and USSSA All-State Team in 2024 while also competing for Sneaky Cleats Johnson. In the classroom, Pence has also been recognized for her academic excellence and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Coach Downs on Pence: "We're excited to welcome Texas native Harly Pence to our program. She's an absolute powerhouse at the plate, her swing force is off the charts and she has the ability to change a game with one swing. Can't wait to see her driving balls to the highway"
Teygan Rasmussen | Council Bluffs, Iowa | Thomas Jefferson HS | Catcher | Undecided
Rasmussen, a catcher from Council Bluffs, Iowa, brings leadership and experience from Thomas Jefferson High School. An All-Conference and All-City honoree, she's also a member of the National Honor Society and competes with Nebraska Echoes.
Coach Downs on Rasmussen: "We're thrilled to have Teygan Rasmussen join our program. Tey is an absolute wall behind the plate, bringing strength and leadership to the position. Her effortless swing makes her a tough out and a real challenge for opposing pitchers."
Gwyneth Revis | Omaha, Neb. | Buena Vista HS | Catcher | Secondary Education
Revis is an accomplished catcher from Omaha, Nebraska, who has made her mark as one of the state's top prep players. A two-time All-Metro Academic and five-time NCPA Academic All-State honoree, she's equally dominant on the field, earning All-Metro and All-Metro Coaches Pick recognition while finishing the 2025 season ranked sixth nationally in both batting average and slugging percentage. A Player of the Year finalist and featured in SI Softball's "10 Players Every Nebraska High School Softball Fan Should Know", Revis brings elite offensive talent and leadership to the Cougar lineup. Revis competes with Nebraska Thunder National Dillion 18U.
Coach Downs on Revis: "We're thrilled to welcome Gwyneth Revis to our program. Gwyn is a true team player and leader, serving as the voice behind the plate. Her bat is a controlled force on the field, and was a high school standout. We can't wait to see her compete here at Coo Nation!"
Layla Suto | Oak Harbor, Wa. | Oak Harbor HS | OF | Elementary Education
Suto is an outfielder from Oak Harbor, Washington, and a key player for Oak Harbor High School and the WA Avengers Salas programs. Suto is a 2025 Golden Glove Award recipient and holds the Wildcats school record in career RBI with 66. A standout student, she's involved in multiple community and school organizations and plans to pursue Elementary Education.
Coach Downs on Suto: "We're excited to add Northwest native Layla Suto to our program. She's an absolute monster in the batter's box and a true utility player who can make big plays anywhere — from tracking balls in the outfield to scooping one-hops at first base."
Hadley Wachal | Jackson, Minn. | Jackson County Central HS | Pitcher | Speech/Language Pathology
Wachal is a standout pitcher from Jackson, Minnesota, who has been a force for The Minnesota Misfits and Jackson County Central since earning varsity honors as an eighth grader. A four-time All-Conference selection and two-time MFCA All-Section honoree, she's set multiple school records, including most strikeouts in a game (20), most wins in a season, and the lowest opponent batting average during her junior season. A three-year Breakdown Sports nominee and four-time varsity letterwinner, Wachal brings power, poise, and proven production to the Cougars' pitching staff. In the classroom, Wachal is a three-year academic letter award recipient as well as a three-year honor roll standout and is a member of the National Honor Society.
Coach Downs on Wachal: "We're very excited to have Hadley Wachal join our program. Hadley is a true unicorn, not just a pitcher, but an all-around competitor who can do it all. Her focus, drive, and competitive edge both in the circle and on the field set her apart."
Jocelyn Weger | Otis Orchards, Wash. | East Valley HS | 1B/3B | Business Administration
Weger, a powerful corner infielder from Otis Orchards, Washington, has been one of the top hitters in the Greater Spokane League throughout her career at East Valley High School. A three-time All-League selection, including back-to-back First Team honors, she holds multiple single-season school records in RBIs, runs, hits, slugging percentage, and is tied for home runs. A standout in the classroom as well, Weger is a member of the National Honor Society, DECA, and FBLA, and has consistently earned Scholar-Athlete and Honor Roll recognition. Weger competes for the USA Explosion-Spokane program.
Coach Downs on Weger: "We're excited to welcome JC Weger to our program. JC is a powerful corner player who can take the ball to the fence against anyone. Her aggressive play and strength make her a serious threat on the field!"
