SMITHVILLE, MO. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Golf team delivered an impressive showing at the 2025 NSIC Championships, securing fourth place in the 12-team field. Competing April 25–27 at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex's challenging Outlaw Course, the Cougars posted a three-day total of 958 (+94) on the par-72, 5,950-yard layout.
Tournament Recap
The Cougars demonstrated resilience throughout the championship, carding rounds of 311 (+23), 321 (+33), and 326 (+38). Minnesota State captured the team title with a combined score of 921 (+57), while USF's consistent play earned them a position among the top contenders.

Key Cougars
Maggie Veenendall led the charge, tying for third place at 224 (+8) with rounds of 71 (-1), 79 (+7), and 78 (+6). Her opening-round 71 placed her atop the leaderboard after day one, and she recorded five birdies over the tournament. Bryn Huber improved each round, finishing tied for 12th at 239 (+23) with scores of 82 (+10), 81 (+9), and 76 (+4), tallying three birdies. Abbie Ritzer started strong, placing tied for 27th at 245 (+29) with rounds of 77 (+5), 81 (+9), and 87 (+15), contributing one birdie. Tanna Phares finished tied for 31st at 246 (+30) with rounds of 81 (+9), 80 (+8), and 85 (+13), adding four birdies. Avery Nelson rounded out the lineup, tying for 41st at 256 (+40) with scores of 86 (+14), 81 (+9), and 89 (+17), recording two birdies.
