FARGO, N.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Women's Tennis team turned in a strong weekend on the road, earning a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victories with a 6-1 win over Minnesota State University Moorhead and a hard-fought 4-3 victory over University of Minnesota Duluth.
The Cougars showcased depth and resilience across the lineup, winning the doubles point in both matches and securing nine combined singles victories to improve to 7-9 overall and 6-2 in NSIC play.

Sioux Falls opened the weekend by taking control early in doubles play.
Ella Hancock and Sydney Osburn earned a 6-4 victory at No. 2, while Emily Thinnsen and Mylin Lemke followed with a decisive 6-2 win at No. 3 to secure the doubles point.
In singles, the Cougars dominated the middle and lower part of the lineup.
Sofiya Janos delivered a strong performance at No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-1 win, while Osburn battled to a three-set victory at No. 3, rallying for a 3-6, 7-5, 10-5 win. Hancock (No. 4), Thinnsen (No. 5), and Emma Rangel (No. 6) each added straight-set victories to seal the 6-1 team win.

The Cougars closed the weekend with a tightly contested match against Minnesota Duluth, overcoming a doubles point deficit with a dominant singles performance.
Sofiya Janos and Emma Rangel provided the highlight in doubles with a 6-2 win at No. 1, but Duluth claimed the remaining two courts to take the early 1-0 lead.
USF responded in singles with three quick straight-set victories.
Janos set the tone with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1, followed by strong performances from Osburn (6-2, 6-0) at No. 2 and Hancock (6-0, 6-2) at No. 3.
With the match tied, Lemke delivered the clinching point at No. 6, rallying for a 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory to secure the 4-3 team win.

Head Coach Kevin Grebin praised his team's resilience and ability to respond in key moments, highlighting the match-clinching performance at No. 6 singles.
