MANHEIM, Pa. – Three members of the University of Sioux Falls men's wrestling program have been recognized for their excellence in the classroom, earning NCAA Division II Scholar All-American honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association, as announced by the organization last week.

Ashtin Johnson, Hank Meyer and Stetson Davis each earned the prestigious academic honor, highlighting their commitment to success both on the mat and in the classroom.

Johnson secured his third career Scholar All-American honor, continuing to set the standard for consistency and excellence within the Cougar program. Davis earned the distinction for the second time in his career, while Meyer collected his first Scholar All-American recognition.

"The work these guys put in every single day goes far beyond the mat," said head coach Matt Meuleners. "To see Ashtin, Stetson, and Hank recognized at this level speaks volumes about their discipline, character, and commitment to being elite in all areas of their lives. We're incredibly proud of how they represent our program, our university, and themselves."

The National Wrestling Coaches Association recognized a total of 433 student-athletes from 64 NCAA Division II institutions this season. The list included 165 repeat honorees and 51 student-athletes who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.

"These student-athletes have demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom," said NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer. "We commend their dedication and the example they set for the sport."

Scholar All-American selections come following the conclusion of the 2026 NCAA Division II Men's Wrestling Championships, held March 13–14. Honorees must meet one of several criteria, including All-American status with a minimum 3.0 GPA, national qualifier status with at least a 3.25 GPA, or participation in four or more events while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
