Cross Country Posts Pair of Top-15 Team Finishes

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Cross Country teams returned to competition Friday, with the Cougar men placing 13th out of 19 teams and the women finishing 15th in a 20-team field.

Brooklyn Koll led the way for the USF women, turning in a personal-best performance in the 6K, while Camden Janiszeski paced the Cougar men in the 8K. Josiah Schroeder and Ethan West also recorded personal bests for Sioux Falls on the men's side.


Women's 6K

Koll continued her strong sophomore campaign by leading the Cougars across the finish line. She clocked a personal-best 22:05.3 to finish 41st overall.

Sophomore Anjalie Aho was the second Cougar finisher, placing 97th with a time of 23:08.2. Junior Chloe Aanenson followed in 130th at 23:46.0, giving USF three runners inside the top 130.

Olivia Babler crossed the line in 24:44.7 to finish 174th, while sophomore Faith Traphagen rounded out the Cougars' scoring five with a time of 25:11.5 to place 193rd.

Cameen McFarquhar followed in 212th with a time of 25:43.1, while freshman Kiley Pendergast completed the USF lineup in 27:33.1 to place 248th.

The Cougars finished 15th out of 20 teams in the women's team standings.

Men's 8K

Junior Camden Janiszeski led Sioux Falls in the men's race, finishing 99th overall with a time of 26:08.4.

Senior Josiah Schroeder followed with a personal-best 26:31.5, placing 121st. Sophomore Easton Klatt was next across the line for USF, finishing 145th in 26:47.6.

Senior Jace Cofer clocked a 27:18.2 to place 174th, while freshman Evan Hubbard rounded out the Cougars' scoring five in 192nd with a time of 27:30.2.

Gage Grohs finished just behind Hubbard, placing 195th in 27:31.2. Sophomore Ethan West followed one second later, recording a personal-best 27:33.5 to finish 196th. Freshman Tucker Lunde rounded out the Cougar contingent with a time of 29:40.3 to place 268th.

USF finished 13th in the 19-team men's field.
