Biography
2013 (JUNIOR): Primarily played No. 5 singles and went 5-7 overall…0-1 in No. 4 singles...started the year 0-4 before winning five matches in a row…the five-match win streak including 6-0, 6-0, bagels against Bemidji State’s Carlie Loeks and University of Mary’s Alexis Tatter....saw time at both No. 3 and No. 2 doubles where she posted a .500 record (6-6)…dropped her first four doubles matches but went 6-2 down the stretch and strung together a four match win streak that featured an 8-0 triumph over Bemidji State.
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Played at No. 2 singles for the Cougars and finished with a mark of 2-9... earned a dominant 6-2, 6-1 victory against Kelli Christiansen of Bemidji State on Feb. 18...Her most memorable singles match of the year came against Terry Odera of Northwestern College...Sieve took the first set 6-4 but dropped the second frame 2-6 and trailed 4-2 in the third before breaking back to make it 5-all before claiming the match with a 10-8 third set victory...played at Nos. 1 and 2 in doubles and finished with a record of 1-10, combining with Morgan DeLange to upend Bemidji State's Greenwaldt/Christiansen on the road, 8-4.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Impressive start to collegiate career...spent time at both the no. 5 and no. 6 slot and received all-conference honors at no. 6 singles...was the GPAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week (4/27)...notched a crucial win at the no. 6 position in the Cougars' 5-4 victory over Concordia University (4/17)...also earned wins from the no. 6 slot in matches against Wolak of Bemidji State (3/6), Hastings College (4/17) and Yorchak of Northwestern (5/2)...also excelled at the no. 5 position, notching victories over Pfeifer of Doane (4/17), Schroeder of Morningside (4/21) and McElroy of Briar Cliff (4/28)...also played no. 3 doubles for the Cougars.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at St. James H.S...team MVP and honorable mention accolades for softball...two-time state individual and team qualifier for the Minnesota state tournament...as a senior, led the St. James squad to the Section 3A championship...also served as team captain in basketball, tennis and softball...participated in choir, drama, band, student council, mock trial...A-Honor Roll student.
PERSONAL: daughter of Glenn and Laurie Sieve...has two siblings, Keenan and Lucas...radiological technology major...member of FCA, SAAC and Sigma Alpha Pi...played the piano for nine years...goal is to be a good worker and to help people as she is doing it.
