Indoor Track and Field- Qualified for the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships in 4 events, the 800, mile, 4x400, and DMR… she advanced to the finals in the 800 after finishing 4th in the Prelims with a time of 2:19.27, in the finals she finished 6th with a time of 2:18.59… in the mile she took home a 4th place finish with a time of 4:56.80… in the 4x400 her team crossed the line in 10th with a time of 4:05.74… in the DMR her squad took home 6th with a time of 12:35.74, earlier in the season her team recorded the 2nd fastest time in school history at the Mark Schuck Open with a time of 12:32.45… she also recorded her fastest 3000 meter time in her college career at the SDSU Holiday Invite & Multi when she ran a 10:09.35 for a 2nd place finish… she recorded 13 top-5 finishes with 5 of them being first place finishes…
Outdoor Track and Field- No season due to Covid-19… named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
2018-19 - Cross Country - Finished second at the Mount Marty Invite… ran a personal best time of 17:48.3 for 5k on the cross country course at the Southern Stampede… finished fifth at the NSIC Cross Country Championships running a personal best time of 21:34.4 for 6k… placed 65
th at the NCAA Division II Central Region Cross Country Championships...
Indoor Track and Field - Placed first in the 3k at the SDSU DII Invitational running a time of 10:15.00… ran a personal best time of 10:14.36 for 3k at the SDSU Indoor Classic… finished first in the mile at the Mines Division II Invite and Multi with a time of 5:10.36… came in third in the 800 at the Ted Nelson Classic finishing with a time of 2:16.22… added another first place finish in the mile this time at the SDSU Last Chance meet with a time of 5:05.87… garnered two All-NSIC honors at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships by placing third in the 1k with a time of 2:57.68 and third in the mile with a time of 4:59.47… also was a member of the 4x400 team that finished ninth at the indoor conference championships...
Outdoor Track and Field - Competed in two events at the Sioux City Relays… finishing third in the 800 with a time of 2:16.77 and first in the 1500 with a time of 4:45.99… placed sixth in the 1500 at the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships running a time of 4:40.04… in the same meet placed 13
th in the 5k running a personal best time of 18:23.21.
2017-18 - Cross Country - Placed 12
th at the NSIC Cross Country Championships… crossed the line in 23
rd at the NCAA Division II Central Region Cross Country Championships...
Indoor Track and Field - Placed in the top three in eight events throughout the indoor season… finished in first place in two events at the Dordt College Indoor Invitational by running a personal best time of 2:55.09 in the 1k and 5:08.46 in the mile… placed first in the 800 at the SDSU DII Invitational clocking a time of 2:10.70… followed that up with another first place finish this time in the mile at the MSU Open and Multi in a time of 4:58.29… finished second in the 800 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite with a clocking of 2:10.84… added another second place finish in the 800 at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a personal best time of 2:10.53… ran a personal best time of 4:52.01 for the mile at the SDSU Last Chance meet… earned All-NSIC honors in the 800 and mile at the NSIC Indoor Track and Field Championships by placing third in the 800 with a time of 2:14.32 and second in the mile with a time of 4:52.17… also ran a leg of the 4x400 that placed 12
th at the conference meet… finished 16
th in the mile at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships running a time of 4:59.62...
Outdoor Track and Field - Placed first in the 1500 at the MIAA v NSIC Showdown with a time of 4:38.10… finished second in the 1500 with a time of 4:27.91 at the South Dakota Invite… clocked a time of 2:16.02 for 800 at the Sioux City Relays which was good for second place… competed in the 1500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational and finished with a personal best time of 4:32.49…finished third in the 800 at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays… earned All-NSIC honors once again this time by placing third in the 800 at the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships… was a member of 4x400 squad that finished 12
th at the conference meet… qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships and placed 16
th in the 800 running a time of 2:10.62.
2017-2018: Named NSIC Athlete to Watch in 2017... 12th in the NSIC Cross Country Championship... 23rd in the Central Region Cross Country Championship... USF most valuable female Cross Country runner... NSIC indoor Track and Field Newcomer of the year... 2nd in the mile NSIC Indoor Championships... 3rd in the 800 NSIC Indoor Championships... 3rd in the 800 NSIC Outdoor Championships... Three time national qualifier.
HIGH SCHOOL: From Salida, Colorado where she attended Salida High School... standout Cross Country and Track and Field athlete, Taryn's Cross Country team won the state championship in 2013 and 2015... Colorado state champion in the 800 meter run in 2015 and 2017, an event in which she holds the state record... won the state title in the 1600 meter run in 2016.
PERSONAL: Taryn is the daughter of Sue and Mark Ceglowski...English and Spanish major.
