University of Sioux Falls Athletics

Kristin Kono is in her first season as the head coach of the University of Sioux Falls junior varsity women's basketball team.

Kono enjoyed a standout collegiate career as a basketball player at USF where she played from 2001-05.

She was the starting point guard on the Cougar team that reached the NAIA Final Four in 2004. Kono currently ranks second on the Cougar single-season assist total list.

A Sioux Falls native, Kono earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education from USF in 2006 and received a Master's of Art in Education from Augustana College in 2008.
