HIGH SCHOOL: Four-sport athlete for Lennox…two-time All Big-8 conference…earned eight total varsity letters…as a senior averaged 10 points, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks and a steal for the Orioles…also played tight end/defensive end/punter, threw shot put and competed in the 400 meter run and the 4K during cross country season…two academic letters and graduated with high honors (3.5+ GPA).
PERSONAL: Son of Heidi Young…has a sister, Isabel (13)…education and math major with a psychology minor…career goal is to help others believe in themselves…coaches a youth soccer team…favorite athletes are Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Andre Iguodala…enjoys playing chess.
