Career
A versatile and high-energy guard for the Cougars, Jacoby Mehrman has appeared in 52 collegiate games with 17 starts across his first two seasons, totaling 1,053 minutes while averaging 20.3 minutes per contest. He has scored 262 career points on an efficient 51.6 percent shooting clip while adding 167 rebounds, 90 assists, 44 steals, and 10 blocks. Known for his defensive intensity, rebounding, and playmaking, Mehrman has developed into one of the Cougars’ most reliable all-around contributors.
2025-26 (Sophomore)
Mehrman took a significant leap in his sophomore season, appearing in all 30 games with 17 starts while averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He shot an outstanding 58.0 percent from the field while contributing across every area of the stat sheet, becoming a key rotational piece for the Cougars.
His season was highlighted by a career-high 19-point performance against Winona State, where he added three steals in a standout all-around effort. He also posted 16 points against Minnesota State, recorded a season-high 12 rebounds versus St. Cloud State, and dished out a career-best six assists at Bemidji State. Mehrman was especially effective late in the season, shooting with elite efficiency while bringing toughness, rebounding, and defensive pressure to the Cougar lineup.
2024-25 (Freshman)
Mehrman played in 22 games during his freshman season, logging 208 minutes while averaging 9.5 minutes per contest. He scored 29 points on 12-of-42 shooting, including four made three-pointers, while adding 33 rebounds, 20 assists, one block, and four steals as he gained valuable collegiate experience.
High School
Mehrman competed for the Tigers, where he established himself as one of the top prep guards in the state. He earned two All-ESD selections, two Metro All-Conference honors, Second Team All-State recognition, and a spot on the South Dakota All-State Tournament Team.
During his senior season, Mehrman averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 assists, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. He also competed in club basketball for Sanford Sports Academy, continuing his development against top competition.

Jacoby is the son of Theresa and Mason Mehrman and has three siblings: Sadie, Quincy, and Bo.
