Biography
High School
Gerdes was a three-sport athlete at Lennox High School, competing in basketball, football and track and field. A three-year basketball team captain and two-year football team captain, he scored more than 1,000 career points and earned Second Team All-State, All-Conference and Class A All-Tournament Team honors as a senior. He averaged 15.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game during his final season. Academically, Gerdes was a member of the National Honor Society, earned Academic Honor Roll recognition all four years and was selected as an OrioLeader for his attitude, behavior and character.
Personal
Gerdes plans to major in business at USF. He is the son of Aaron and Cary Gerdes and has two siblings, Trey and Tori.
