Biography

CAREER SECTION:

An incredibly decorated student-athlete who entered the collegiate ranks following an exceptional multi-sport career at La Crescent-Hokah High School. A five-time conference golf champion, state tournament top-10 finisher, and the 2025 La Crescent Male Athlete of the Year, he was also named to the prestigious Mr. Minnesota Golf Watch List. Transitioning to university play for the 2025–2026 freshman season, he established himself as a reliable and highly competitive force, highlighted by a 14th-place finish at the Marauder Invitational and a strong top-20 performance at the 2026 NSIC Men's Golf Championship.

2025-2026 (Freshman):

During a busy freshman season, competed in nine major events and showcased great competitive consistency. Earned his highest finish of the year at the Marauder Invitational, placing 14th with a round of 78 (+6). Proved his poise in major tournament fields by tying for 14th at the Augustana Invitational with a 152 (77-75) and tying for 17th at the 2026 NSIC Men's Golf Championship with a three-round total of 226 (75-73-78). Wrapped up a productive first year with solid performances at The Hillcat Classic (t-26th, 227), the NSIC Preview (t-27th, 150), the Jewel Invitational (t-44th, 150), the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl (t-48th, 154), the USF Invitational (t-57th, 165), and the Tommy Riggs Collegiate Invitational (t-67th, 241).

HIGH SCHOOL:

A phenomenal athlete and leader at La Crescent-Hokah High School, captaining the golf team from 9th through 12th grade and the basketball team as a senior. On the course, he was a five-time Three Rivers Conference Champion and All-Conference selection, a four-time state tournament participant with two top-10 finishes, and a 2024 MSHSL Section AA All-State honoree. On the junior circuit, he was a two-time medalist at The Optimist International Junior Golf Regional Qualifier and a 2024 medalist at the Notah Begay Minnesota Regional Finals, culminating in a spot on the 2025 Mr. Minnesota Golf Watch List. Also an All-Conference basketball player and the 2025 La Crescent Male Athlete of the Year, he paired his athletic dominance with elite academics, earning MSHSL Academic Awards in both sports throughout his upperclassman years.

PERSONAL:

The son of Dave and Lisa Nutter, growing up in an athletic family as the sibling to Grant and Alexandra, who is a former member of the USF Women’s Golf Team.
