CAREER SECTION:
An elite and highly accomplished student-athlete who has established himself as a premier national competitor on the mat and a standout scholar in the classroom. Following a legendary prep career at Brandon Valley High School—where he captured a state championship, amassed a staggering 160-21 record, and graduated with High Honors—he made an immediate impact on the collegiate stage. A former NCAA Regional placer, tournament champion, and NWCA Scholar All-American, he has consistently maintained a national ranking while serving as a dominant frontrunner for the program, eclipsing 100 match points during a stellar 12-win junior season.
2025-2026 (Junior):
During his junior campaign, continued to perform at an elite level, serving as a cornerstone of the lineup and capturing 12 varsity victories. Showcased exceptional offensive production by racking up a commanding 135 match points over the course of the season. Demonstrated superior tactical control and technical execution, securing his victories through seven decisions, two technical falls, and two major decisions.
2024-2025 (Sophomore):
Put together a phenomenal sophomore season, navigating a grueling schedule to finish with a 14-12 overall record while earning national recognition as an NWCA Scholar All-American and an NWCA/Open Mat ranked competitor. Solidified his postseason pedigree by placing 6th at the highly competitive NCAA Regionals. Prior to the postseason, captured an individual title by placing 1st overall at the Haws/Elton Rumble and secured a 5th-place finish at the Jimmie Open. Contributed 41.5 match points to the team, weaponizing bonus-point production with four technical falls, three major decisions, two falls, and showcasing clutch endurance with a pair of sudden-victory wins.
HIGH SCHOOL:
A historic standout competitor at Brandon Valley High School, rewriting the record books with a phenomenal career record of 160-21. Reached the absolute pinnacle of prep wrestling as a South Dakota State Champion, a three-time state finalist, a four-time state placer, and an multi-time All-Conference selection (four-time Metro and three-time ESD). Sharpened his skills against elite national competition as a member of the prestigious Legends of Gold club team. Academically, matched his athletic excellence by graduating with High Honors and maintaining membership in the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL:
The son of Jennifer Oehme and Troy Oehme, growing up in a large family alongside siblings Trasn, Trevon, Brendon, and Brookelyn.
