2013-14 (FRESHMAN): Indoor: Season best mark in the Shot Put came at the NSIC Indoor Championships with her throw of 42-6.75 (12.97m) that placed her 5th overall…also competed in the Weight Throw where her season best toss of 43-6.5 (13.27m) came at the Dakota Realty Alumni Open…Outdoor: best mark of the year in the Shot Put came at the Red Raider Open with her toss of 41-11.25 (12.78m)…also competed in the Discus (132-5/40.37m) and the Hammer Throw (133-5/40.67m) for the Cougars…finished 15th in both the Shot Put and Discus at the NSIC Outdoor Championships. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at De Smet...Personal best of 130-3 (39.70m) in the discus and 38-7 (11.76m)...three-time qualifier for the South Dakota State Track Meet...2012 Girls B discus
Champion...seventh place in the Girls B shot put in 2012...school record holder in the shot put and discus...earned Academic All-State honors.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Luke and Janice Poppen...born February 11, 1994...has three younger sisters...member of National Honor Society, Student Council and honor roll...plans on entering the nursing program at USF.
