University of Sioux Falls Athletics

2025-2026 (Freshman):
-5 top ten finishes
-Recorded a 12.62m personal best TJ at the USD Alumni Meet, placed 7th
-Recorded a 1.90m personal best at the SDSU Indoor Classic, placed 19th

University of Minnesota
Recorded personal bests in high jump of 2.01m indoors and 1.95 outdoors. Member of the Dean's List all 4 semesters.

High School
During his high school career, Brands became the team captain for each of the three sports he competed in, track & field, cross country, and basketball. He recorded a personal best high jump of 6'3" with the Trojans. He was an All-Conference athlete in cross country. He also saw great success in the classroom as he was a Natiaonal Honor Society inductee who graduated with highest honors. 

Personal
Brands plans to be either a doctor or chiropractor in his future. He has spent a great deal of time serving his community, notably, helping with the all comers track & field meet for 5 years. He enjoys hiking and camping as well as taking pictures, cleaning, and reading. He is the son of Douglas and Jennifer Brands and has two siblings, Kalen and Tobias.
