2024-25 (Senior)
Josh Baker played in 23 games, earning one start while averaging 8.9 minutes per game. He scored 28 total points, averaging 1.2 per game, while shooting 11-of-23 from the field and 6-of-10 from the free-throw line. He was active on the boards, pulling in 47 rebounds (2.0 per game), and added 12 assists, 3 blocks, and 5 steals. Earned NABC Academic Honors.
2023-24 (Junior)
Baker appeared in 25 games with 13 starts, totaling 334 minutes for an average of 13.4 per game. He was efficient offensively, shooting 49 percent from the field with 25 made baskets on 51 attempts. From beyond the arc, he hit one of his two three-point attempts, finishing the season at 50 percent. At the free-throw line, he went 15-for-31 (48.4 percent). He was a strong presence on the glass, recording 100 rebounds (4.0 per game), with 44 coming on the offensive end. He finished the season with 66 total points, averaging 2.6 per game. His academic success earned him D2 ADA Academic Achievement honors.
Previous Institutions
Baker began his collegiate career at Iowa Central Community College in 2021-22, where he averaged 9.4 points per game on 47 percent shooting. He ranked ninth in the ICCAC in rebounding with 6.5 per game and sixth in steals with 1.5 per game. He transferred to Central Community College for the 2022-23 season, where he contributed 5.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
High School
Baker was a multi-sport athlete for the Tigers, competing in both basketball and baseball. On the basketball court, he earned First Team All-Conference honors and played club basketball with the Southwest Minnesota Stars.
Personal
Josh is the son of Scott and Brenda Baker and has four siblings: Jessica Kirkendall, Steph Kovash, Jacob Baker, and Rebecca Baker.
