CAREER SECTION:

A highly disciplined and accomplished student-athlete who sets a standard of excellence both on the mat and in the classroom. Following a standout prep career at Norfolk High School—where he was a state qualifier, a two-time Fargo National qualifier, and an Academic All-Conference selection—he made an immediate impact on the collegiate circuit. A two-time NWCA Scholar All-American, he has consistently paired elite academic honors with strong bonus-point scoring capabilities, compiling multiple varsity victories and surpassing 40 match points during his 2025–2026 sophomore campaign.

2025-2026 (Sophomore):

During a highly successful sophomore season, continued to distinguish himself as a premier student-athlete by earning his second consecutive NWCA Scholar All-American honor. On the mat, he captured 3 victories and demonstrated great offensive development, accumulating 46 match points for the program. Showcased strong bonus-point capabilities by securing all of his seasonal wins via extra-point margins, tallying two major decisions and one victory by fall.

2024-2025 (Freshman):

Put together a strong debut freshman season, navigating a competitive rookie schedule to finish with a 3-6 overall record while earning national recognition as an NWCA Scholar All-American. Contributed 14 match points to the team lineup, demonstrating excellent tactical control and defensive poise to secure all three of his individual collegiate victories through hard-fought decisions.

HIGH SCHOOL:

A standout multi-sport competitor for the Norfolk Panthers, excelling in both football and wrestling. On the mat, he earned three varsity letters and established himself as a premier individual force, becoming a state tournament qualifier and a two-time Fargo National qualifier. Academically, he maintained a premier standard, earning Academic All-Conference honors and being named a two-time Honor Roll student.

The son of Kyle and Desare Thompson, growing up alongside siblings Jaeden, Tannor, and Aleigha.
