University of Sioux Falls Athletics

Austin Harris enters his first season with the University of Sioux Falls Football program in 2026 as the team's defensive backs coach.

Harris joins the Cougar staff after concluding his collegiate playing career at Northwestern College, where he was a member of the Raiders' football program for two seasons. During his time at Northwestern, he appeared in seven games and recorded 10 total tackles, including four tackles during the 2025 season. He posted three solo tackles against Doane and added another solo stop against Concordia on November 15.

Prior to Northwestern, Harris spent one season at Louisburg College, appearing in nine games and recording six tackles.

A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, Harris brings firsthand experience as a defensive back along with a strong understanding of small-college football and player development. His playing background across multiple collegiate levels and passion for teaching the game make him a valuable addition to the Cougar coaching staff as he begins his collegiate coaching career.
