Carley Neumann enters her fourth season as the associate head women's basketball coach at the University of Sioux Falls in 2026. In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Neumann serves in the athletic department's senior woman administrator role, providing leadership and support across a variety of departmental initiatives.
Neumann completed her third season with the Cougars in 2025-26, helping guide USF to a 13-16 overall record and a 10-12 mark in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Cougars averaged 71.0 points per game and continued to establish themselves as one of the conference's emerging programs. Under her mentorship, Anna Vaaler earned First Team All-NSIC honors, while Krista Langager was named the NSIC Freshman of the Year and garnered Second Team All-Conference recognition. Off the court, Neumann helped foster one of the department's strongest academic cultures as the program produced nine NSIC Team of Excellence honorees, and four CSC Academic All-District selections.
Neumann returned to USF in 2023 after spending three seasons at Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She served one season as an assistant coach before being elevated to head coach for the final two years of the program's existence. In her first season leading the Saints, Neumann had an immediate impact in the win column, guiding the program from one victory to seven while laying the foundation for long-term growth. She also placed a strong emphasis on academics and culture, helping raise the team's cumulative GPA to above a 3.4 by the conclusion of her tenure. Her experience at Presentation provided valuable opportunities in program management, recruiting, player development, and fostering student-athlete success both on and off the court.
Prior to Presentation, Neumann spent the 2019-20 season on the USF staff, helping lead the Cougars to one of the best seasons in program history. Sioux Falls finished 26-6 overall, captured the NSIC South Division Championship, and earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament before postseason play was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
From 2015-19, Neumann served as an assistant coach at St. Cloud State University, helping guide the Huskies to a 60-50 overall record during her tenure. Her responsibilities included recruiting, scouting, player development, and academic support, helping build a competitive and balanced program in the NSIC.
A former standout student-athlete at St. Cloud State, Neumann enjoyed a successful four-year playing career with the Huskies. She helped lead SCSU to the 2013 NSIC North Division Championship and finished her career with 447 points and 106 assists in 97 games played. In the classroom, she was a three-time NSIC All-Academic Team selection and earned the prestigious NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award as a senior.
Away from the court, Neumann resides in Sioux Falls with her husband, Clint, and their daughter, Ella, where the family remains actively involved in the University of Sioux Falls community.
