Conrad Koch enters his first season with the Cougars and brings 10 years of coaching experience and an accomplished collegiate playing career to the University of Sioux Falls tennis program.
Koch competed collegiately at both Merrimack College and Augustana University, playing at the NCAA Division I level during his time at Merrimack before concluding his career at Augustana.
At Merrimack, Koch competed from 2018-22 and played as high as No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles. He made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2018-19, earning NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors at No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles while also being named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team. A two-time NE10 Rookie of the Week, Koch led Merrimack's newcomers with 36 victories, recording 17 singles and 19 doubles wins.
Koch finished his freshman season 17-8 in singles, including a 6-2 mark in conference play, while winning 13 matches at No. 1 doubles. He followed with an 8-10 overall record during the shortened 2019-20 season, highlighted by a 6-2 mark at No. 2 singles.
Koch later competed at Augustana during the 2024-25 season, helping the Vikings earn a national team ranking while also earning a national doubles ranking. Playing primarily at No. 1 doubles alongside Henry Dornbusch, Koch posted a 12-5 record and earned All-MIAA Second Team honors in doubles. He also competed as high as No. 2 singles and was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Prior to his collegiate career, Koch competed four times in the Rogers Junior Canadian Tennis National Tournament. He was a doubles finalist at the Victoria Junior ITF event in Canada and earned a bronze medal representing Saskatchewan at the Western Canada Summer Games.
Koch earned his bachelor's degree in business and sport administration from Merrimack College and his master's degree in sports administration from Augustana University.
