Dimitar Peev is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach of the volleyball program at University of Sioux Falls. Prior to his arrival at USF, Peev served as an assistant coach for the freshman and JV volleyball teams at Brookfield East High School in Brookfield, Wis.
Peev obtained his bachelor's degree in International Business from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wis. He played on the varsity volleyball team for three consecutive seasons at Stritch as a right-side hitter.
During his volleyball career at Stritch, he received numerous awards: 2nd Team All Conference (2006), 1st Team Academic All Conference (2006), Scholar Athlete Award (2006), Scholar Athlete Award (2005), Most Valuable Player (2005), 1st Team All conference (2005), 1st Team all conference (2004), Newcomer of the Year (2004) and Most Valuable Player (2004).
Peev also played one season for William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. Previously, Peev, a native of Bulgaria, had also played competitive volleyball from 1994 to 2002 as a setter for Levski, a Bulgarian Volleyball Club Team.
Throughout his career in Bulgaria he had been a team captain, had won a Golden Medal at the Gorna Bania Open Beach Volleyball Tournament and had been recruited for Bulgarian Junior National Team try-outs.
Peev is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration.
