Eric Brothers

Eric Brothers is in his third year as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at the University of Sioux Falls, where he brings a wealth of experience as both an educator and an athlete.

Before joining USF, Brothers spent seven years as a high school math teacher, with six years in Escondido, California, and one year at Washington High School in Sioux Falls. During his teaching career, he was actively involved in coaching, serving six seasons on the Cougars football and baseball coaching staffs in California before spending a year on the coaching staff for Warrior Baseball in Sioux Falls.

A former pitcher for the USF baseball team from 2012 to 2015, Brothers made 35 appearances, including 29 starts, pitching two complete games and one shutout. He ranks third in USF history with 161.2 innings pitched and 108 career strikeouts. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally for the Trinidad Triggers in the Pecos League in 2016.

Brothers earned his bachelor’s degrees in secondary education and mathematics from USF in 2016. He later completed a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University – Irvine in 2019.

Eric and his wife, Claire, are both proud USF graduates, and he remains dedicated to supporting student-athletes through his role in compliance, ensuring their success both on and off the field.

Eric and Claire reside in Sioux Falls with their children, Elizabeth and Thaddeus and their two dogs.
