Eric Brothers

Eric Brothers is entering his fourth year as the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance at the University of Sioux Falls, where he brings a wealth of experience as both an educator and former student-athlete.

Before joining USF, Brothers spent seven years as a high school mathematics teacher, including six years in Escondido, California, and one year at Washington High School in Sioux Falls. During his teaching career, he remained heavily involved in athletics, serving six seasons on the football and baseball coaching staffs at Orange Glen High School in California before spending a year on the baseball coaching staff at Washington High School.

A former pitcher for the University of Sioux Falls baseball program from 2012-15, Brothers made 35 career appearances, including 29 starts, while recording two complete games and one shutout. He ranks third in program history with 161.2 career innings pitched and 108 strikeouts. Following his collegiate career, he continued playing professionally with the Trinidad Triggers of the Pecos League in 2016.

Brothers earned bachelor's degrees in secondary education and mathematics from the University of Sioux Falls in 2016 before completing a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2019.

As Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance, Brothers oversees NCAA and NSIC compliance operations for all 18 Cougar athletic programs, working closely with student-athletes, coaches, and campus administrators to ensure institutional adherence to conference and NCAA regulations while supporting student-athlete success both academically and athletically.

Eric and his wife, Claire, are both proud USF graduates and reside in Sioux Falls with their children, Elizabeth and Thaddeus, and their two dogs.
