Kyland Dickerson is entering his third season as an assistant coach specializing with the USF Defensive Backs.
Kyland Dickerson entered his second season as an assistant coach for the University of Sioux Falls in 2025, specializing with the Cougar defensive backs. Working closely alongside the defensive staff, Dickerson helped build a disciplined secondary that severely limited opposing passing attacks to just 177.27 yards per game and an average of 6.66 yards per pass attempt. His defensive backs played a critical role in standard coverage and takeaway scenarios, helping the Cougars pull down 7 interceptions and contribute to a defense that surrendered only 26.18 points per game over the 11-game schedule. Dickerson's direct mentorship on the field mirrored his commitment to fostering well-rounded student-athletes, helping guide the roster to a successful 2025 campaign both in execution and athletic development.
In the 2024 season Cougar Football finished the season 8-3 and t-2nd in conference standings. They also had 13 student-athletes named to the NSIC All-Conference teams, 15 athletes awarded All-Academic team and 20 athletes awarded All-Academic team of Excellence.
