Logan Myers enters his fifth season as the sprints coach for the University of Sioux Falls men's and women's track & field programs in 2026-27. Since joining the Cougar staff, Myers has played a pivotal role in the development of USF's sprint and relay groups, mentoring conference champions, school record holders, All-Americans, and numerous personal-best performances.
Myers completed his fourth season with the Cougars in 2025-26, orchestrating one of the most successful years in program history for the sprint events. Under his direction, senior Tamia Horton was named the NSIC Outstanding Senior of the Year after capturing the NSIC indoor championship in the 60 meters and the outdoor championship in the 100 meters. Horton also broke school records in both events, running 7.35 in the 60m and 11.32 in the 100m, and earned First Team All-America honors in the 100 meters.
On the men's side, Myers continued to elevate the sprint program with standout performances from Carter Friske and multi-event All-American Jonny Cheney, who recorded a personal-best time of 10.92 seconds in the 100 meters. Myers' sprinters and relay athletes consistently delivered points at the conference championships while continuing the program's emphasis on individual improvement and development.
In the classroom, Myers helped support one of the top academic programs in the NSIC, as the Cougars produced 31 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence selections and NSIC Elite 18 Award winner Collin Dingsor.
Prior to joining the USF coaching staff, Myers competed at the University of Mary from 2017-20. As a member of the Marauders' track & field program, he competed in both sprint and distance events and twice recorded top-10 finishes in the NSIC Championships as part of the 4x400-meter relay.
Myers brings firsthand collegiate experience and a passion for athlete development to the Cougar program, helping build a sprint group that has continued to raise the standard of excellence at both the conference and national levels.
