University of Sioux Falls Athletics

Kristian Porter enters his second season as the assistant running backs and tight end coach at the University of Sioux Falls.

Prior to joining the coaching staff, Porter led the Cougars from the field.  USF’s No. 9 all-time leading rusher (2,081 yds), Porter was a key contributor during USF’s dominant 2008-11 run, a stretch in which the Cougars went 34-1, made three consecutive National Championship appearances and recorded back-to-back undefeated championship seasons.

After tallying a career-high 632 yards on 8.8 yards per carry, Porter earned GPAC honorable mention honors in 2010. His career average of 5.9 ypc is the third-highest of any players on USF’s top-10 rushing list.

Porter received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from the University of Sioux Falls in December of 2012.
