Kamberlyn Lamer enters her fifth season as the jumps coach for the University of Sioux Falls men's and women's track & field programs in 2026-27. A former national champion and one of the most decorated multi-event athletes in the region, Lamer has quickly established herself as an instrumental part of the Cougar coaching staff, developing conference-caliber jumpers and helping elevate the program's success both athletically and academically.
Lamer completed her fourth season with the Cougars in 2025-26, helping guide the women to eighth-place finishes and the men to 10th-place finishes at both the NSIC Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Under her guidance, Lyndi Koosman and Peyton Hanson earned All-NSIC honors in the jumps, while multi-event standout Jonny Cheney captured All-America honors and became one of the nation's top combined-event athletes. In the classroom, Lamer helped support one of the premier academic programs in the conference, as the Cougars produced 31 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honorees and NSIC Elite 18 Award winner Collin Dingsor.
Since arriving at USF, Lamer has helped every athlete in her event groups achieve personal-best marks while mentoring multiple conference podium finishers and NCAA provisional qualifiers. Her technical expertise and individualized approach to athlete development have been key factors in the continued growth of the Cougar jumps and multi-event groups.
Lamer joined the coaching staff after a decorated collegiate career at Dakota Wesleyan University and the University of South Dakota. During her time at Dakota Wesleyan, she emerged as one of the premier multi-event athletes in the NAIA, capturing national championships in both the pentathlon and heptathlon. She also earned All-America honors in the triple jump after recording a top-three finish at the NAIA National Championships.
Following her success at Dakota Wesleyan, Lamer continued her career at South Dakota, where she became a Summit League champion and was named the Summit League Most Valuable Performer and Field Athlete of the Year.
Lamer earned her bachelor's degree from Dakota Wesleyan University before completing her master's degree in kinesiology and sport management from the University of South Dakota.
