The University of Sioux Falls women's soccer team (5-3 overall, 3-0 GPAC) won their third straight match, taking a 1-0 decision against Morningside College (1-5-1, 0-2-1) in Sioux Center, Iowa.
Freshman Emily Johnson (Spencer, Iowa) scored the game-winning goal on a pass from senior Bailey Snyder (Eatonville, Wash.) at the 35 minute mark. The Cougar's shut out is their fifth of the season and USF has not allowed a score by a GPAC school.
The victory sets up a showdown at the USF Sanford Soccer Complex this Saturday, September 26 as the Cougars will take on another team that is undefeated in GPAC play, Dana College (6-1-1, 3-0). The match will start at 5:30 p.m.
