Football Coaches Jon Anderson and Ryan Grubb Increase Role in the Program

Amidst changes to the University of Sioux Falls football coaching staff, Ryan Grubb, Jon Anderson and Ross Cimpl have been promoted from within the program. "We are focused on the future and excited about the continued staff continuity that we have been able to maintain with these internal promotions" head coach Kalen DeBoer said. "I have no doubt with the staff in place we will continue to expect and execute championship caliber coaching on and off the field of play."

Grubb served as the Run Game Coordinator and Offensive Line coach for three seasons for the Cougars. He coached two all-Americans and 11 all-conference players during that time while guiding the USF rush attack to a top 10 national ranking. Grubb will continue to coach the offensive line but will take on the role of offensive coordinator.

Anderson was the Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for eight seasons, helping the Cougars piece together one of the top defenses in the nation every year. This season the Cougars achieved a No. 1 national ranking in scoring defense and total defense and took four returns on special teams for a touchdown. Anderson will now serve as the Defensive Coordinator for the Cougars.

Ross Cimpl will also increase his role in the program. Cimpl, an academic all-American and two year starter in the USF secondary, was a graduate assistant for the 2007 and 2008 seasons and coached the tight ends during the 2009 season. For the 2010 season, Cimpl will take on the role of coaching the defensive backs.
